Film Production

Pan’s production team has visited a cave in Vietnamese famous cave complex Phong Nha – Ke Bang as they scouted locations for a film about Peter Pan.

The 10-member crew spent three days exploring the Hang En – the world’s third largest cave in the world. This cave belongs to the Phong Nha Cave System of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, which earned the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003 thanks to its impressive scenery and archaeological value.

The team used aerial and remote-controlled cameras to calculate the shots which might be taken in the cave.

In these shots, the film’s protagonist Peter Pan hovers through the beautiful grotto and over magnificent mountain ranges and lush forests in the park.

Howard Limbert, a member of British Caving Research Association, who has been excavating the caves in central Vietnam for decades, led the film crew around the park.
